She's probably right.. early signs of maturing age forgetfulness maybe!
Whale watching vessels on the Gold Coast did report seeing a strange barnacle encrusted object off the Broadwater yesterday and the general feeling was that it was a paddle, probably from WA. It may make it's way round the coast and return in time for Christmas.

After a few sessions with the missus paddle which was stretching to reach the chin hairs, invested in a new paddle which was well overdue and a bit more upmarket than the one I had. Galvo and Cam's shop sorted me out with a new one and had a good surf today with it. Someone broke into their shop last night, cleaning up glass when I walked in - pity there is no respect for other people's gear.
Couldn't wait for that bit of driftwood to return from the "Land of Sunshine"...........rockmagnet but thanks anyways
