Nice vid, covered a lot of bases in 5 mins, probably the go to video for anyone new to SUP. Maybe under safety mention could be made of knee paddling as a way of getting back to dry land. Find if learners are going to get into trouble its quite often because they get out into wind and can't either stand up or make headway or both.

Hi Rob, Always enjoy your videos and this is another good one that I am sure beginners will find helpful.
Just one thing you might like to consider if another version is recorded is "falling". How to fall safely off a board.
We all spent time doing this and how to fall safely and getting back on the board may assist. I've seen here in Vic Australia a couple of elbow and shoulder injuries because rather than falling away from the board, beginner paddlers were trying to grab the board on the way down once they realised gravity was taking over.

Yes, a common beginner mistake is to try to catch a fall by falling onto the board instead of into the water. We covered how to fall safely and get back on in a few videos, including this one:
