It's real..
it's off Kai's Facebook...
''Here is the SUP hydrofoil in action. It's the closest I have ever felt to being a pelican gliding across a wave.''
I'll bet that it's a very stable board to paddle.
But you can't ride it too close to the beach, must stay in deeper water.
I wonder if you could fit a flexible training edge to the vertical foil that is geared in a way that you could steer with a foot paddle as per UL boards?
Why do you think it photo shopped? I could see Kai doing this.
Look at the rear foil half of it is missing , look at his left lat it's been clipped and do you really think he would launch of rocks on a foil. Not saying he hasn't done it just commenting on the photo.
Maybe I'm wrong but maybe not.

I'm thinking the rear two tail foils drop down at 45 deg making the other wing not clearly visible at this angle..
This is where it all started.
DJ and some others will recognise Andrew McDougall from windsurfing days.
It gets good at about 1.40...

Yeah I might have to eat my hat on this one

Next time you all want to complain about the price of boards, a new Moth will set you back about $30k.
Plus another $20k for alternative foils etc
There was about $20m of boats & gear at that event in Sorrento...
