Entries are now open for the
JPP Buoy Turn Challenge to be held on Narrabeen Lagoon on
June 2.The day will consist of two races. An 11km marathon covering much of the middle and western parts of the lagoon and encompassing some 32 buoy turns. There will also be a shorter 5km race. Racing will start at 10am, allowing paddlers from Canberra, Coffs, Newcastle and the Central Coast plenty of time to arrive and get organised. There's plenty of divisions on offer also from under 18's through to over 60's.
The day aims to raise funds for Emerge Australia, the foundation supporting patients who suffer from Myalgic Encephalomyelitis.
It's also the last race of the Sydney Paddle Surfing Club's race series so competition will be fierce out on the water.
With sponsors like Bridgey's Earth Moving, Fanatic SUP, EnviroManage Systems, Jamieson Park Paddle, Vaikobi, VMG Fins, Casey clothing and WindSurfNsnow the event will be a great success.
The day will be topped off by a free BBQ for competitors and a prize giving with special trophies and some great give aways.
