I can remember for ever having seen Laird Hamilton windsurfing, getting towed into huge waves and paddle boarding into all manner of surf, but does anyone ever recall or have or seen a picture or movie where Laird has prone paddled either a short board or long board surfing.

I'm not sure about a video but I remember Laird being into prone ocean paddling in a big way during the early 90's, I've also seen video of him surfing short boards at pipe back door late 80's on Gerry's boards

Pretty sure he is in the original Laird dvd.. You are right though.. It's pretty rare.

The woeful video back in the 80's called The North Shore. He surfed small Pipe and other spots.

Has been in a number of movies but can not remeber the names. He was in one where he had velcro on his short board and he was trying big airs and flips.

I saw some kind of documentary about Laird... in it was a vid of he and Dave Kalama surfing in 1 foot mush on longboards and ripping it up. I remember really liking the fact that they could have a blast on a crappy day... they were not jaded by all the big wave action.
