Not sure if this is news or not (it's new to me) but it's great that they now have the lens in the center of the camera.. Also good for those who don't need/want an LCD display and just use the simple one touch start/stop option.
Cool! Image quality may not be as good, but I would prefer to have that strapped to my paddle, helmet, etc. But at A$580 - pretty expensive!
Yeah pretty cool & about bloody time , wouldn't be surprised if we saw a GP5 early next year. Big things happening in the camera world , plus there is whispers of Gopro bring out their own drone.

I don't understand why the image quality is so different. It's the exact same resolution and the same codec that he's comparing (even though the Silver has even better options of resolution). The only thing that changes is the lens, surely. Very odd. Until they fix that, I would go with the Silver.
Yeah that was the good part of the first review but the GP4 Silver is over sharp as long as the information is there , you can bring it up on the cube. Don't write it off yet the above vid is just basic adjustments in post production but in saying that it was all shot in perfect light. A good lesson on how to film ![]()
I'm just really impressed by the skin tone reproduction in the demo video still frame above. I can't find any flaws.
Not too fussed about the price if it's good. The review video shows the image quality is down a bit compared to the Silver. Hopefully there will be a firmware update to sort that out.
I reckon I will hold off till the Session 2 comes out. The drop in resolution choices right now with the same cost as the silver is a deal breaker I also agree that the Xiaomi will probably release a version in the next couple of months (I already have the Xiaomi and the quality of that for the cost is pretty awesome)
