That's what I was thinking so highly likely I will come up for SUP and kiting.

Also not that clever I just know a bit about web and html so I just copied and pasted that mess into notepad saved as “.html” opened that in a browser and then copied and pasted that back into notepad and then into the post.

It says in the events there is a tech race on the Sunday, the day after, at Cottesloe. Is anyone going to be around for that or will the racing be better in Geraldton?

Hey Mick
This Cottesloe event was deleted a couple of months back - as the Gero event is replacing it. Seabreeze feeds its event list off the SUPWA events page - it's been deleted off our page - not sure why it is still showing up on the seabreeze page?

Gero event is going to be great! This is a SWA event and a great initiative!

Just heard today that the course for the Marathon will be weather dependant, however the proposed course will be a southerly course from Town Beach to Drummond Cove approximately 12km, The BOP event will be in the morning at Town Beach and then Marathon in the arvo on the Saturday, Surfing Thurs and Friday. This is all yet to be ratified by SWA along with entries.

The comp sounds great! Will the surfing comp be only slash and burn, Radman style or will you have a longboard style session for old farts among us?

Slash and burn I'd say.

Hey Radman and other Gero-ites I'm coming up with the kids and camp. Was going to stay at Sunset Beach Caravan Park what do you reckon? What are the chances of us getting waves at Sunset and what kinda wave is it(good for the kids as well)?

Cheers Crawfo.

Is there confirmation from SUPWA that the surfing is on Thursday/Friday? Seems a bit silly to have it during the week when most people will be working.

Yo crawf as Stimo said ocean west holiday have a deal going If you stay there you have the back beach straight across the road not a bad spot 2 mins to town tarcoola tavern 1 min there is a good chance of sunset having waves although you need 2.5 - 3 mts of swell I'd say back beach will be back up venue shud be fun

I just want to clarify that this event is open to everyone, we especially want to extend an invitation to anyone who hasn't competed before, the format is a test run for SWA in preparation for running the nationals 2016, (location for the Nationals 2016 has not been settled) the Geraldton businesses and council have been very generous with putting together the prize money and we would like to see this grow in to an iconic event for the future. It will be a great fun event for all levels and one we should all make the effort to get behind as these things are very difficult to put together. I look forward to seeing everyone in Gero....

Sounds like membership not nescicary. 110 bucks for open men's surfing $55 for over 40 and 50 surfing and $45 for tech race and marathon Not cheep but the endorfin release will easily make up for it
