Who is using an Garmin watch and can tell me a little bit about the accuracy of the calculated speed and stroke rate? Thinking about gettin the Vivoactive HR... Thx! Joe

i have been using a garmin fenix 5s for a couple of months both flat water and surfing. Stroke rate looks good. Speed both max and average for both now seems about right. The speed however I don't have a good yardstick to measure against. This is an example of a flatwater paddle on a 8'10" surf sup. Bob

I have the vivo HR, has always been pretty perfect when comparing to other peoples gamins in regards to distance. I have only had 1 problem, where we paddled for 1km, did the exact same route back to the start and it said 600m. Not sure why, but other than that one time I've never had a problem.
