Took my Speeed out for the first time today and was joined by Flipper and baby Flipper. It was pretty late (past shark-o'clock) and the first fin sighting got my attention.
Great vid.. We'll be back down there at dawn tomorrow.. Hope he's still there..

I have been out for the past two days - may need to do some work tomorrow. Then again, if the wind is OK and there are still some waves... Are you headed to Zappers or Crunchies - the dolphins were at Crunchies. (Oops - got to be somewhere at 8:00 am...)
I was happy with the stability. It is not as stable as the X32 but that was my first paddle, and it was 10-15 knots on-shore (and pretty choppy out at the point) and it was not a problem. I think I would have had a problem on the Minion. If the X32 and the Minion had a child it would be the 8'10" Speed 
.
The speed was smooth and fast, but it either goes straight or turns quickly when you get your foot on the tail. On my first wave I put too much weight back and it went into a 180 and tossed me off! After a few waves I was feeling very happy on it.

Had a pod of maybe 20 dolphins surfacing all around me a couple of weekends ago, couldn't wipe the grin off my face for days 
Nice one ...amazing manuals ..and shark repellents .
i tried to shake one off on a windsurfer once ...they're bloody fast .
. I had no show .go flipper .
I had four out with me this morning. Having 20 around you must really be something.
