i may be moving to Newcastle .
a sales position working through hunters valley and surrounds. So can live in town or surrounds.

Any beaches that are well suited to sup surfing ? Any comments on where to live if I want to sup surf ?
My perfect wave is 2 foot cruisers. I'm to unfit to surf anything serious

im worried Newcastle is a bit rough ? But I'm hoping it is still a good place to live.

Newcastle and the surrounds are a surfers paradise with a range of breaks from beginner to expert.

I would suggest the town beaches may get a little crowded and competitive i.e. merewether, bar beach, newcastle and nobody's but they will throw a few world class breaks at you.

We live and SUP around caves beach and (although biased) find the beaches perfect for those conditions that aren't super advanced. Just a short trip south to Catho and nora head (with lots in between) will give you plenty of options ...... then of course theres Blacksmiths and the more consistent redhead north ...... i'd recommend you head Caves way ; )
