Depends what you want it to do? I'd say probably a Mako 35 for all round use, Mako 37 or TT for flatwater races

SIC FX PRO with a sunken deck...

Custom SIC FX with a sunken deck....get that man a beer!

Can I trade that beer in for a protein shake?...alcoholic beverages are not my thing

Gorgeous board!!!...but doesn't that seems like like a lot of extra work for such a small return? ...the deck recess is pretty shallow .

BTW...What was the final verdict on the FX Pro? So much chatter about it before it's release last year then things died down pretty fast.

Did it not live up to its expectations? There seemed to be very high hopes for it as an all water board...where did it fail and what if anything has Mark done to rectify its shortcomings for 2017?

There seemed to be a few here and on the Zone that purchased one when they first came out then turned around and sold it in short order.

Was it too little to late? Did the all-water Maliko, Allstar, Sidewinder and Blackfish designs leap past it before it ever hit the market? Inquiring minds want to know....those that have paddled it or against it...what's the real story?

I was really hoping owners/former owners would chime in on the FX pro...Are sales humming along in the background that I'm unaware of?...or did it fall victim to being "the flavor of the month" ?

Everything just looks so right with the design it hard to imagine it not hitting all the boxes for a lot of paddlers.

I love my FX. Bit iffy in cross chop, but whats board isn't. Upwind, DW & in the flat its a great board. Its pretty bloody quick too!
