Ok just bought one of these for those longer than usual paddles on the Glide, before I remove the tags does anyone have any opinions in case I have made a huge mistake with this model? I know it's not the SUP specific one seen on the forum before and will not be water proof just resistant and it is designed for Cycling but the straps are light and softer than the Denali models I saw, I can always take it back if it is a real dud!

I have that one and really like it. Pockets are big enough for my cellphone and keys in a waterproof bag. Works with a belt Pfd too.

Have a feeling DJ has the same. I prefer it as don't like shoulder straps and it's always been good. I just chuck a small waterproof bag inside it with phone/keys etc. and it's been fine

Saw those on line but no one had stock in store to look at and am looking and a belt PFD anyway so can't wear both but thanks for the suggestion.

I've tried heaps and this is the best by far imo..

The belt type pfd fits inside alongside the drink bladder..

None and it's seen plenty. Used it tonight and it is good as new.

Dave have been using camelbak for approximately 25 years, i first got a mule when I started mountain biking back in the 90's.
The classic is very basic and has an excellent bladder, so if you havent payed too much, for it keep it as the bladder will fit into other items, my life vest, has a pocket for it behind the back and is very comfortable, i bought it form anaconda on sale.
If you havent used the bladders before you should test out if you like the taste, this is the most important.
I prefer camelbak then the source and then other brands.
The tahoe has been designed specifically for paddle boarding and has a different approach to the bladder position and made to acconidate a self inflating life vest.
I would try the classic and then pluck the tahoe out from a US retailer, substantially cheaper, at the moment as its winter over there right now.

I've used bog standard Camelbak's for a good few years - they work fine. I bought them for my mountain biking but now use for SUP.

Wee tip for you - especially if you live in a hot climate. Store the bladder in the freezer when not using to cut down on build up of germs and regularly use bog standard baby sterilizer tabs to disinfect it. You know the stuff - the tabs or fluid you sterilize baby bottles and stuff with.

Most important thing.... Can you actually get any water out of it without sucking your eyeballs back into your head? Just picked up a new one which is comfy as to wear but will be ditching the bladder as soon as I can due to the struggle to get the fluid through!!

Vodka is fine as long as you wash it out after use Coke and burbon also works well and can wash out the taste. Bite valve needs to be chewd down on hard to open the slit in the mouth piece, if its not coming out chew down a little harder. Ice cubes in the pack and keeping it half full in the freezer will help with the flow emeboy. I just noticed the ultralight running camelbaks and :I think they would suit paddling well too.

Tried mine for the first time this weekend and no worries getting fluid it just flowed, maybe your is faulty??

Ice cubes, great idea it will make the Ora he juice taste better until the Vodka kicks in!!
