What a pathetic critique of the essence of surfing, HAVING FUN! Have you heard of that, armchair wallies? You don't have to be a Laird or a Keahi to enjoy riding a sup; if it had been a 12-year-old kid would you have lambasted him with the same indictment?
The guy was doing ok, he didn't fall off or run over anyone, give him a break, stick to commenting on the waves, you knuckleheads were less experienced in the past............

Well said mollydooka! Everyone's different in their styles. Like golf. Some week hitters can be so consistant & accurate & have won more games , but are laughed at by those hard inaccurate hitters all the time.
Like the wave shredder & Soul surfer. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholders.
I know I am a crap surfer & I tell people that too. But I have had unexpected comments that have surprised me on some days on great bottom turns & the wave of the day. But hey. All I care about is a great day in my life. Having fun.

True!! In fact, I think I saw him at Deep Six a while back, hard to say with the plethora of paddlers
