Pssst!
The SUP gun which he will ride into that wave this season is on the machine RIGHT NOW!
Just came home from 3 weeks at that wave. Power pure.
Having fun right now.

All I know is at a demo day on really choppy water last year with ESS without knowing anything about this kind of design info i felt the difference! The Sunova felt so much smoother. I tried a few different brands and the difference between a regular epoxy board and the balsa sandwich technology won me over in spite of my profound technical ignorance! I bought an 8' 10" speed and still love it. I'm lusting after a 12' Search now...(maybe an inch narrower)
where is my seabreeze friend the nz sunova rep ? He should be right here.....making supportive comments about the Sunova construction process.
But whatever.......am finding my sunova 9'5 speed extremely solid......towball a tiny bit disappointed that bits of the deckpad are peeling a teeny bit.
