Hi all

Does anyone have a rough idea of what is planned for the Aussie race titles. I can see the schedule is with the SUP Surfing and is floating. The website indicates that it runs from this weekend through to next Wednesday or Thursday but I'm not sure if they are rescheduling based on the PPG this weekend as the lead up seems to have been a bit quiet.

I couldnt race state titles but I'm hoping to get a late entry in the tech race if they have some spare spots which they seem to have had in the last few years.

Any advice or insight would be great.

Cheers, Lockie

In general how long is the paddle back from Bilinga to snapper?
I might try get out tomorrow and paddle head on into the wind tomorrow to get a taste of how brutal next week will be for me. As too date I have refused to paddle into the wind ever! Looks like a first coming up

We always train into the wind. You never know what the conditions of a race are going to be.

This is a good point Ashton,
I just don't train in general. My motto is If the winds up go down wind, if the winds not do another sport

These days I ALWAYS know what the conditions of a race are going to be... DW or DNF.

Just read on Swellnet that the Gold Coast surf for the event this week will be in the 1ft range?

Again sup surfing is the poor cousin, shame that with predicted conditions like that its hardly going to showcase the Nations most talented sup surfers that they deserve....

Surely its time to run the event in the season of the year that provides the best opportunity for good waves?

Is that too much to ask??

Well as they always tell us straight after the same people finish on the podium every year in the same marginal conditions - the cream always rises to the top.

Of course, it may well be that we have simply identified people who surf the best in uncontestable conditions but still, I'm sure it will be better next year. Or the year after.

Do I sense some discontent in Victoria?
