Im a local on the peninsular and like to hit the bay when the wind is up.
I have done a few shuttle runs but it becomes a bit of an effort to find other like minded paddlers.
So I find myself doing up wind, downwinders which I dont mind but its hard to beat a nice long DW haul.
Is anyone else interested? Nudgee to Woody point or Scarborough to Caboolture etc etc?
Usually weekend or Late afternoons.
Kikaha

I'm keen to get in more downwind runs if your heading out. I work in town during the week so can only really go on weekends ![]()
Kikaha, keen as mustard mate, but will have to buy a downwind board first, as only have sup surfboards. Been sup surfing for a few years and live it and would love to try a downwind or 2. I'm at Burpengary but was born and bred at Redcliffe and also have a couple of other mates local keen to try. Will keep and ear out and save some more $$ for a board. Cheers Whitey.
YT will get in contact mate I'm sure I can organise another 12"6 or 14 from a friend to give u a crack.
If the winds up I'm always down winding in the area
Hey,
I'm based down in Melbourne but will be up for work Tuesday and have the afternoon free.
If someone's got a spare board and if the3 conditions are good I'll join you for a session...
Was planning a wave session up in Caloundra but have recently been bitten by the downwind bug...
Sounds like maybe if anyones thinking of doing a run they could post here and see what happens.
All we need is some wind![]()
AndyR, that'd be great mate as I'd love to give it a go. Just pm with any details or requests for me and I'm keen as. Might be slightly problematic to find a date as im a shift worker but still keen to try it mate. Thanks for the offer.
