anyone had any experience with the cabrinha boards? i am about to buy one (10'8) for paddling in flat and small chop and also to use as a light wind windsurfboard, nut would like to see some reviews - did not find anything online... any help appreciated. thanks
G'day, I brought the 10'8 woodie hybrid for my first board only a few weeks ago and I love it. They paddle well on the flat but are still lots of fun in small swell. They are pretty stable but don't feel like a boat when your paddling, which surprised me in a good way. hope this helps, feel free to ask any questions and I'll do my best to answer them.
Only seen them in the shop (the basic models), but the dimensions are good, the construction is AST so thats good and the price is good so all you need to do is demo to get the size that suits you best and you really can't go wrong.
Yep got a 9'8" board had it in all types conditions highly manourable stable and can go like a rocket when pushed so impressed I want an 8'6 for more hotdogging trie a few but this is the best so far , new pro series look great
I've got the 10'8" . I find it really stable, easy to paddle and fun in small waves. I have the same idea to use it as a windsurfer but haven't got around to it yet.
Hi, ive just got the 9.8 hybrid. Been surfing a 10 foot mana. At best an average surfer 45 yo 106 kg. The cabrihna looks great, is pretty stable. Just been surfing it in afternoon 2 foot slop in mandurah. Stable enough to stand up on in a 15 to 20 knot sea breeze. Takes off easily and is faster than the mana when on a wave. Tossed up between the 10.2 or the and went for the smaller board as what i was after was more surfability than the already very competent mana. I surf my brother in laws psh 9.6 hull paddler and the cabrinha is more stable and takes of on waves much more easily than the psh. I think thats because the psh shape in the sub 10 foot paddler are much more sensitive to my lard arse sinking them. So far the cabrihna seems to do the job of smaller board nicely. As soon as we get some clean decent conditions will post my experience with it.
