i'm going to live in mexico for four months this winter and the biggest problem i'm having is finding a board to take with me. most airlines, including delta, stipulate a max length of 115". neither of my 9-6 boards -- an allwave and an l41 tipsup -- will make the cut after being packed in a board bag. so i need sometime shorter. i could probably go to 9-2 but no longer. has got to be 32" wide or wider. longboard shape only, with excellent potential for walking to the nose. the more volume the better. the less nose rocker the better, both for riding and for paddling glide.
so far, i've only found the 9-2 allwave. size wise it's almost perfect, with a sweet volume of around 160L, if i'm not mistaken; but the shape, for what i want, and how i ride, leaves a good bit to be desired.
anything else out there, remembering that i need both a lot of width and a lot of volume?
thanks!

p.s. i know i could buy a board of any size i want once i get down there but the only two brands available are naish and starboard and neither of them make a board that suits my style (i.e. 9-6 or so, with all the above included)

Very tricky one that Linter - 9ft longboard shapes - probably need to go custom? That's not to say you can't get a SUP around that size that noserides well eg the 2013 Allwaves.

How about this one......just to get the ball rolling...no idea what they are like though>

jimmy lewis 8'-11 doesn't have enough width or volume, by a long shot, sadly. can't see a starboard that fits the bill. the lopez seems like a possible. width is right, length is right, vol at 160l is right. wonder how it rides, though -- doesn't really have the look of a longboard-type sup will go try to find some reviews.

thanks for the ideas, guys. keep em coming!

starboard hero 9' x 33" good wide nose area, and still slashes.

8'10" Widepoint at 32" wide fits that bill!

merrick doesn't have enough volume, i don't think, and ditto the wide point. i really need something around 160L. even the hero might be a little low on L for me I'm starting to think that the 9-2 x 32 Allwave is my best option, though the Lopez bears investigation. from what i can tell, the few that've ridden the lopez vs the allwave, prefer the allwave.
