Hi Guys,
Haven't had the 9'2 NSP Cocomat for long, and am really happy with it thus far, but I think I should probably consider upgrading the fins... At present it has the Shapers S-5's (in the FibreFlex) front and rear, and I suspect I could probably improve on that.

I am thinking S-9's in the front, S-7's in the rear? Am I on the right track or going too big?

Typical conditions are small beach breaks, usually waist to chest high. I am 83kg and intermediate supper I guess.

Board is 9'2 x 29.5 x 126 Litres, so suggestions on what has worked for similar boards would be appreciated. Would like to stick to Shapers if possible.

Thanks,
Scott.

I really like the Gerry Lopez quads. Others say they're too big but that s9/s7 setup is pretty big also. Downside is they're not Shapers and they're expensive.

Hear great things about this board from a friend who owns a ton of boards. He likes the GL in windswell and in cleaner conditions. Look forward to riding one soon. He is a shop owner that carries a bunch of lines and says he rides this setup more than anything else.

Hey Scott, The best set up I have used in this board is the Shapers S9 in the front and the Shapers MG in the back. Drivey with great life.

Hope you like the board.

Cheers mate.... In regards to the "MG" are these the MG-XI (size 3 equivalent) or the MG-XII (size 5 equivalent) ?
Think I recall Laceys Lane using the MG-XI, but I would have to go looking for the thread.

Yes am really happy with the board thanks, aside from the cosmetic 'attributes' that people enjoy highlighting . Personally I am relatively neutral on the appearance of the cocomat finish, it has grown on me a lot (pardon the pun), and I am definitely enjoying the lightness of the board.
Cosmetically, I am more disappointed in the bland appearance of the standard grey stripy NSP deck grip, especially given what some other manufacturers are producing.

Performance wise, I couldn't be happier, it has improved my supping exponentially just in the short time I have had it, coming off of a 9'2 Allwave. Originally, even before I had used the NSP, I was viewing it as a short term 'stepping stone' for 6 months or so, as I had planned on getting something else all along. I will definitely be hanging onto it for longer than that.

Regards,
Scott.
