Hi.
I'm going to buy my first SUP. I have no idea what sort or size to get. I want to use it in the surf mostly and a little on flat water.
I surf at an average level, I'm 6'4 and 120 kilos. A lot of reviews I have seen are for smaller people.
Any info will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Board make and model will be appreciated.
Try and demo a 10' Naish Mana and see if it floats you ok.. If not suss out the 9'5" Mana.
Also check out the Starboard Avanti or the new Coreban Ez.
Where are you?

Hi Abbeybec,
'Amundson Hawaii', not new to the SUP scene in the US/HI but new to Oz in 2011......high quality, very durable & designed by a credible North Shore craftsman of 25yrs.
Have an 11'3" & an 11'6".....
Both are all rounders great for flat water paddling & perform very well in the surf for SUP, longboard, tandem etc..... the 11'3" is more for the surf user where-as the 11'6" is more for the flat water user.
Very stable, even for someone 6'4", 120kgs.
Cheers.
Hi
Check out the Hobie Sumo 10'2. The Sumo's are designed for the bigger person. They have the "Sumo disc" giving plenty volume in the middle of the board but still thin rails in the tail for the surf.
Try one out !
