naish x32 8'3 for my go to board in all conditions

fanatic prowave 8''10 for clean days

minion ... For clean days also as a alternative to the prowave

It's a shame fanatic dropped the 8'10 prowave now it's all screwed again litres to small or board to big

im talking for the 88to 90kg riders here

I would wait to have some sessions with the Minion before buying other boards...
It may redefine your idea of an ideal quiver...

Don't know if you really need a three surf SUP board quiver unless you have a dedicated big wave board, you need a 'choppy water session' board and a 'glassy wave' board. The X32 and Minion would be my pick and then have a flat water board for cruising, racing, downwinders. (This is coming from a dude who has 6 windsurfing/wavesailing boards, 2 SUPs and 3 snowboards…)

Yep, I'm thinking that way now , x32 and a minion best of both worlds

I think the minion is custom order only

I have demoed the 8'3 X32 and liked it as it was stable but loose on a wave which is what you need in ****ty choppy sessions. The X32 seems to be a 'marmite' board as people either love it or hate it. I am really interested in the Minion as the more I think about it the more it makes sense to chop 1 foot of length off the nose and keep the width all the way to the tail and do some funky things with fins and channels to make it turn. I am currently riding an 8'5 Fanatic ProWave which would be in the middle of my hypothetical three SUP-surf board quiver.

Yep I sure have got a erection over the minion
The more we pull the nose in and more rocker added the stability goes, but then you can go wide to fix this

the minion has both built in , short but wide throughout , I dear say it must take some thought to have got the concave and fin set up right.

No, just that some time on the Minion may change (or may not?) your ideas of what boards you will want to complement it.

For instance, yes, a wider minion for the chop and a 8'10" semi-gun could be a good quiver.

For me, I just use my 6'10" for flat water... Flat water for me is for training and building up skills, best use your hardest board for this, it pays off immensely in the surf.

As for kids and wifey, I just bought an inflatable for our trip to Corsica next week with my wife, modern inflatables seem the solution for them, we'll see!

JP 9'2" together. Starby for smooth clean days and JP for windy/bumpy?

Wavesrus - If you look at the Gulliver Boards website and check out the videos of their vanguard style board you see it is underwater a little when he is paddling. I can't imagine it would be as stable as an x32 but imagine it lights up in perfect conditions (and with a better rider than me)

Yes I have but the new JP 8-5 fusion is the pick over the 8-2 WB , the 8-5 if a far better performance board and still super stable.

[/b]Yes I have the Naish is a full blown Gun/Rhino Chaser very narrow , Definitely the best gun but that's it. The Sunova is a bit wider and easier to stand one and can still be used for other stuff but still good in the big surf , but if you only want a pure gun go the Naish.

Wooooo….that looks like an interesting development! I can't wait to see that JP in the flesh. That JP is probably going to be a lot lighter (<8kg) than the custom Deep boards as JP use more hi-tech materials/construction and manufacture at the Cobra factory who know what they are doing in terms of composite construction.

So is that a custom or a pro-type for a production board? I see that JP have released their 2015 range so is this model likely to appear for this season or will it be a new addition in the 2016 JP line up?

Very exciting , now if the company's can reduce the price outcome , nice boards and all but 2 2500 for a slab
