Well I bit the bullet and decided to buy a sunova...s...120 &130.I had a sell up of old sups..and brought one as a x demo .I had my first surf today on the 130.a bit rocky compared to my 130 mana.but soon adjusted .Your feet get wetter.as the rails are very different.The fins that came with the board 5 of them seemed large and probably will change them.but the first wave it took off like a rocket.You have to step right back on the board to turn it ,but I will try the quad set up tomorrow.try and loosen it up .but this board will handle a big wave i feel ..and has a nice bite on the face .I will try the 8"7 ,in couple of days ,after mastering this machine,the 8,7 has more rocker and will be a good throw around .but happy so far .a very different board to my 8"8 x32.
I was going to write on one board so I knew which is which ....but after posting the photo ,I see the decks have different colors ..duh ..oh well I've only had them for 4 hours and already got them wet .
I know its written on the board in pencil ,but you have to put ya glasses on to read that
over all I think I have made two good purchases ,and will be happy for quite a few year without having to change .

hey tardy - try using the biggest fins on the outside and the smallest fin you can find for the centre fin (so, as a thruster).
that will loosen it up the most and still allow more vertical surfing.you could even go without the centre fin altogether in smaller waves..d

It really is a fast board the 130 ,and can't wait to get it in some size .
as I think it will be more at home, time will tell.

I've found the best fins for my 8'7 flow is the shaper s6 quads


And are great in thruster in bigger surf

Cheers slugga .yeah I think the original fins are 7.0 .or bigger .just putting them up to my FSC 7.0 .the originals are bigger .
just the last 2 surfs I have found the fins too big .6 should be perfect .i had the original 7 lets call them 8's on today and 2 rears ,still found them to big .i need to go smaller .

once I get this sorted I reckon I'll have a good time .at the mo .it feels very gunny .

over all speed is fantastic .I'm glad I didn't get the speed ,this is way fast enough ..
I need to slow down to turn it in the pocket .

I got this creature quad set in the mail today ,will give them a rip.

They are a very nice looking board, was very close to getting a Ocean Fast 2 before I got my Glide.

Thanks .checked your pictures ..I have those exact fins ,(5 pack)so will give them ago .
it seems to use smaller rear fins than my naish boards .i guess that's due to the thinner tail .
i have noticed the fins on the sunova s are closer together .making a slightly stiffer more direct ride .
i have had to change my riding style ...I almost ran over a friend the other day playing chicken ,I didn't
realise how fast I was going .The quad set up defiantly is the way to go .

these boards are fast ,and like been ridden on the tail ,foot right up against the foot stop.
other wise it is quite hard to turn sharp ,you need to drive it .
they handle big waves .and can out run a wave .
I'm still having trouble balancing in rough chop with the 8'7 ..just me coming from a 140 litre board.
mainly when it's big and swelly....off shore days no problem .
I wonder why they only rate the 130 8'10 as it's heaviest rider being a 90 kg.
it will handle bigger dudes ,as I'M finding it a little hard to shred on this one
it likes to go straight ..to me, i have to ride it like a nalu ...right on the tail .and more curving turns
it picks up waves extremely easy ...I'd almost call it a gun for my 95kgs.
it defiantly is better as a quad .well both boards are ...
I did try the 8'10 as a thruster after trying it with a quad .set up .
i came in and switched it back to the quad after 3 waves .it killed it liveliness riding it as a thruster.
I went back out and done a tail slide ...it was a yahoo moment ...
if these are fast a couldn't imagine what the speed would be like ...a bullet?
