Star board wide point 10'5 or a fanatic

Hi i am 85 kg ride a short board well just getting into sup would like to ride some waves eventually but not sure what to decide on but my partner will uses this board as well and she doesn't surf around the same weight but does not surf so really just looking for advice for something we both will enjoy

I personally reckon that the 9'5 wide point is probably a better pick for you at that weight. I am using that one right not and its stable, fun to use, tracks well. I really cant complain (btw Ive been surfing this board since I was 115kg and now down to 90kg so Im a fair bit heavier and I still find it a great board).

I actually think people are going a bit too long in board choice when really what will make life easier for them is a bit of width. The Fanatic btw is an awesome board as well, but once again I wouldn't go too long. The Starboard 9'5 is 150 litres heaps big enough for an 85 kg couple, the All Wave is about the same volume (146 I think).

Volume is the key so be aware when choosing your board.
