CSE - the Point Break was sweeet!
I was super tired by that time and it made for a relaxing finish

Rick, thanks for all your time posting.I get it's a sunova thing, and congratulations on that achievement.I would love to hear /see more about the point break, ops thanks rbgar//Bert for the design. This board for me is the very essence of sup and why I got into it ,yeh I know shorter/thinner/less volume ect,I have been down that road to ,and I find it easier than riding the bigger boards, that require style /smile approach,IMO.Now to the question how important is the width/plan shape curve for the boards surfability,as I am only 76kg and 32 wide may be to much. Thinking 30 ?I have always wondered about a Skip Frye eagle type design for sup, some thing you can trim / noseride cannot afford it at the moment but maybe one day,and has it been done yet?Hope everyone's getting waves

Hi add water
When RbGar was posting the design process, a lot of people advised making it narrower, because that's what all the other 12' boards were.
They all seemed to say that it wouldn't work on Bombies like the other similar length board.
Well, since it was designed for waves that most of us will actually ride, we made it to surf easily in regular surf.
Since I asked the American distributor to order a few extra's to be made up and shipped with RbGar's,
I wanted to make sure we were ordering something that would really surf well for a lot of people.
I called Bert and asked him point blank:
"Should we go a bit narrower or leave it as designed?"
Bert's answer:
"Leave it at 32" wide.... I really like the way this board turned out.
The 32" width gives it a nice hip curve that will make it turn easily for such a long board"
After surfing it and watching friends your size surf it, I say anyone can ride this board.
Surfing a 12' board requires proper foot placement, not weight, to turn well.
Think of all the tiny surfers of the longboard log era..... they turned the longboards in a way that became the classic longboard style.
All I can say is, the Point Break turns entirely different and much easier than my 30" wide, 14' Search.
My first SUP was 36" wide.... I could snap a turn with ease.
