Hi SUPers ,been intrigued about the sunova steeze ,anyone out there riding one ..
that can comment on it .thinking 9.6 or 10 .

I have a 9'6 Steeze in XXX

Basically a "Fun Shape"
Not longboard surfing and not shortboard... just in the fun sorta middle.

Dude, the 9'6 would be kinda cruisey for you, but you could easily ride the 8'10, where it becomes more of a performance board, that excels in low power waves, and handles some size.

I get lazy sometimes and can't be bothered putting the 12 on ,be great to have a mid size board that you can surf as well ,I just don't have one ,as most of my boards are 8,6-7.

I've had a 9'2" for years. It's really a great board. In a Tri setup it'll get pretty loose. When I want to nose ride I go w a big center fin. The rails are perfect. Your only compromise is it's not great for steep shore breaks, you can't have a nose rider and beach break board. ;)

I have the 10. Just great board all-around. I could have gone 9'6 to gain a bit in steep fast closing waves (not its forte as noted above) but wanted a board also usable for wind swell after our winter storm as real swell is a ferry and several hours drive.....

I know the lazy feeling . I have a 12ft Venom .
Goes great ..but such a pain to store , put on racks etc.
I often just take my 88 Speeed even though not as ideal.
I reckon a 10 footer would be great in the quiver

Well, that's definitively not a noserider!
A nose designed for lift will mean disaster when hitting the water in steep drops...

On the other hand, modern "performance" longboard shapes are fun in beach breaks.

I have a 9'6 Steeze. Its a great board that really is easy to surf. It was my first dedicated surf sup and feel like it really helped my progress my surfing. Walking to the nose, cutbacks, even getting it on the rails. It goes great is from waist to head and a half-ish as long as it's not to steep. I've been considering dropping down to the 8'6 Steeze because my 9'6 feels giant to me now. Anyone have any comments on the 8'6?

The posted video is the 8'6" I have the 8'10" and really love it, but its my only board as a 85+ kg intermediate sup surfer. Would like to try the 8'6", but I'm leaning more towards an even shorter board with similar volume such as the SP25 8'2" or starboard 8'. And keeping my Steeze when the conditions warrant.

yep it works ..nice action ..it looks like it turns really well and good stability ,basically a fun board .

I believe the Steeze 9'2 is a great choice for the OP. Can handle knee high to overhead with ease as long is not too steep but still paddles great for what it is. I often cover 2+ miles paddle in a session going between breaks.

I fine tune the board for conditions with different fin setups, make big difference. The center fin supplied with the board is a terrible choice imo but the side bites are quite usable.

I got the XXX construction and it's light yet solid. Holds up pretty well. Got it as my winter board for my 190+LB
but it turned out to be a good fun board for small summer days as well.

No I was saying that I could have got the 9'6 instead of the 10' when I got mine (both were available). 8'6 is science fiction unless I move to Vancouver Island and constant swell.....
