Hi guys
If anyone has got or test ridden this board and would like to share there experience I would be grateful. I am all but sold on this board but some more convincing wouldn't hurt. I currently ride a C4 9'3 sub vector which surfs great but because I only get to surf once a week these days I find it can be a bit unstable. And if anyone knows is the wide ripper and the extra wide ripper the same board.

The PSH wide ripper and the extra wide ripper are 2 different boards in regards to width obviously.
The EWR might suit you better than the WR for stability.If you can go the narrower of the 2 it would be better IMO.
Either way ,they are both great boards in the surf and you won't be dissapointed with either.
I ride the 9'2 Hull Ripper and the 8'6 WR and they are both awesome boards. The 9'3 sub vector with future controller rears and PSH quad rears goes off as well.
Ride the PSH with the PSH quad fin set up and you will love it

Yes you are right I really like the subvector it really surfs well. I think I already convinced myself to get the ripper and from what you have said I will have to get one. I will give AA a callas well. Thanks again
I had the 9'3 sub vector a while back and could not fault the durability of the board, absolutely bullet prof construction.

The comments on quad's being better for stability have got me interested. I've just started using a 9'2 wide ripper and am finding it pretty tough. $150 on fins might be money well spent.
What's the theory behind quad's being more stable than thrusters? Also, there's a lot of options available. What's everyone's preferred combination. I notice the back fins on the futures controllers & psh are pretty upright.
Kombi, the 9'2 Wide Ripper will feel most stable with the thruster set up as the larger centre fin has more lateral stability. Quads loosen it up a bit and make it feel 'skatier' and easier to snap off the top.
A larger centre fin will increase this but also make the board harder to turn. The 9'2 Wide Ripper is quite stable for its size. How much do you weigh?
Thanks AA. That's what logic was telling me. Taken it out a few times since and it's really just a case of spending the time to get used to it. Feeling much better on it now. Have ordered PSH quad fins anyway so looking forward to giving them a go. I think my weight of 85kgs isn't too much for the board.
Spot on Kombi. At 85 kg you have the right board. Stepping down is always challenging. Stick with it. The 9'2 Wide Ripper is a classic.
With balancing, the key for me was when I learnt to use the paddle to help me balance.
Use it as you would your hand when you fall down - flat to the water. This can even be done under water and it becomes and extension of your hand.
Vertically it is a blade - horizontally it becomes a flat surface to balance off!
hi guys, i currently ride a 10'6 casurina ,weight approx 23kg , 29 wide and im wanting to ride waves from 3 to 8 ft range , i am 96kg 6'1 any suggestions would be appreciated as iam in two minds to go shorter say 9'5 or 10' but most def lighter then current board
