Old surfer who has just got an idea to get a sup, 115kg and 58yo. Got a board sorted 10' 5" 180lt volume
Now Ive read that the paddle is very important.
Whats going to be best to suit me if i go paddling for about a month to learn the basics then tackle some very small waves that will slowly get to small waves 3' say. I have no desire to get going on any waves that are 4' plus, been there on boards. just want to enjoy the greener mushier waves we never used to surf.
paddling shouldn't be an issue done a lot of rowing/kayaking over the years, but would like to hear from you guys about good quality paddles
cheers

Get one of these they are super tough, light and give great acceleration.

LOL Come back in a few months and say that!
Can't help you with the paddle, mines an old shovel and I should invest in a new one.
But I do like DaveSandans' paddle. Where did you get that from?

A plus for me too, cracked two shafts of a different brand before this was recommended to me. Love it

Hey bobajob, KR Sup in StKilda stock these, talk to Warick about what stock he has and this has become my new favourite paddle.
