Did you make it out the back DJ?

You vid seems to have cut out any actual wave riding footage.

I have certainly enjoyed my 9'5" Mana - last year's 190L model.

The new model in blue looks great, really a perfect board for the location and conditions in the vid.

What's going on DJ you guy's keep on talking about the Alana like its the Mana Does it surf OK BTW? It's very pretty.. Same outline as the Mana but It's a different litreage isn't it due to thickness?

Half way out I stopped and was talking to a prone surfer and while mucking around I fell in being stupid.. and while sitting on my board I started wondering if I'd locked my car door.. So I paddled back to check and decided to leave the helmet behind.. I got a couple of great waves so it's a shame I didn't leave it on.. I'll try and some surfing vid another day..btw it was well over head high waves out the back on the bigger sets.

Surfs great.. As far as I know the 9'5'' Mana GS and the 9'5'' Alana are the same board.. just different colours.

Hi DJ,

How would you compare the 9'5" Mana to the Nalu 10'6'5?
Are they comparable or something completely different??

Hi and welcome to the the breeze.

They are very, very different boards.. I have the new 10'6" Nalu and think its probably the best board in the whole Naish range.. I love it.. It's faster and tracks better than the new 9'5" Mana but the Mana turns quicker and is very loose on a wave compared to the 10'6".. It's also a bit more stable than the 10'6".. The 10'6" has a real long board feel and the Mana feels much more like a short board.

Btw.. The main reason for doing this vid was so people interested could get a better look at the board.. The new Naish site just shows a top view.. You can't see the bottom, rocker or rail shape.. I thought a short vid will be better than a few still shots.
