Picked this board up last week and tried it out on Wivenhoe Dam today with my redclaw pots. 12'6"x33". Lots of extras including 2 x Scotty rod holders. Very stable board. Found it quite easy to paddle standing up but a bit of a strain sitting down in the kayak position. Fixed this by sitting on my esky instead! Much more comfortable and a lot easier to get back to the SUP position. Still feeling my way with this board but pretty happy with it. Warning! As slippery as hell when wet and impossible to pick up.

So, more importantly, where are the pictures of the redclaw??

Only caught two that day. Six on our previous visit. But we have only just started and are still finding our feet. We have been using rockmelon as bait, but will try sunlight soap as well next time. Looking forward to the day when we actually take home enough for a feed. Would love to be able to leave some traps in overnight, but too many 'share farmers' around. The Versa board works well as a platform for this type of fishing. Will be using it to set crab pots next. Would have liked to have compared the performance of the versa board against the Starboard Fisherman.

Looks like a great way to operate and probably easier to lift than a Hobie fishing kayak

An old mate of mine once had a property at Narrabri a place in NSW well known for pig shooting, and on this farm he had two dams or he called them dams, they looked more like giant puddles that had been dug out with an excavator.Anyway he was looking for ways to make easy profit and he came up with an idea that if he caught a few yabbies/red claw and stuck them in his dam they would breed and he would become rich. And it worked(at least the breeding part).Within two years his dams were full of crayfish, and then it rained(bugger). He showed me a map of the outlay of the property about a year before and I asked what all these little markings were, and he said low ground, and I said,"you mean swamp!"He said but it has'nt flooded up there for over 20 years or something like that.Anyway there was plenty of yabbies down stream that year. But if you know anyone with a private water reserve, even an old above ground pool with a pump, maybe within a few years you might be selling them to the fisheries.

weighs about 22kgs and is slightly difficult to get on the roof racks. I love the featues on this board - drop down skeg, scotty rod holders, tie down points, SUP/Kayak possies, paddle rack (although I feel it should be a bit further forward) carry handles at both ends and comes with a wheel. Looking forward to getting my first fish on this very Versa...tile board.
