Thumbs Up

I had a demo yesterday in very very small surf and was impressed with the stability of this board compared to my 8' 5" Hokua. The conditions were smooth however with plenty of back wash and the occasional off shore wind gust.

The 8' 10" LE 2014 is very different in design eg slightly domed deck, less volume, lighter, thinner and more refined rails, slightly more rocker in the tail and more like a pin tail compared with my 8' 5".

The front 1/3 of the board is the only part that looks like a Hokua.

All this and looking at the board I expected far less stability.

I would estimate the stability of the 8' 10" LE at about 20% towards the 9' Hokua from the 8' 5" ie closer to the 8' 5". I find the 9' Hokua very stable in most conditions.

I weigh 76 kg, been SUPping for a little over 2 yrs and have very average skills.

I am hoping for another demo in better surf soon.

Anyone else ridden this board as any comments would be appreciated.
