last query for the year tore my Achilles playing rugby this year so finding the 8'10 Creek a challenge and hard work when condition are average which is usual here in summer , wind and chop average swell.s

wondering if i should add Smik spitfire 8'8 or hipster twin fin to the quiver both boards are a bit wider at 31 and look like they will have more stability at 135lr any feedback on these boards
id be interested to hear from anyone that has these baords and how they are in **** condition s

Why not expand the quiver to include a longboard SUP. Something different but still plenty fun and will make life easier with an injury which is going to take a long time to heal properly. Plenty out there. Just a thought.

Maybe look at the 8.6 x31.5 x134l hipster ,Smik .
i had a rip on the 8.0 ,seemed pretty stable for a small board .
if you want big .
maybe a 9.2 x32 3/8 ,9.2 flow .i found my 8.10 flow really stable in rough
i could take it out in anything ,it's heaps more stable than the 8.10 creek you have
And still 8.10 .the extra 1 inch wide makes the diff.

with the hipster and the creek .both wide nose

..Rick increased the nose width on the creek to give a smaller board more stability
both of these are a good option .if you are looking for short .there is the starboard hypernut.but it's short .

If you want to go shorter but keep stability & performance when you need it check out the JL Super Frank... Super stable with plenty of performance..2 different widths in each size...

how did you do your achillies and how far through the rehab are you? Operative or non operative?

i used to be a prone / short boarder until I completely snapped mine. Once initially and then again 6 months later during rehab when the physiology suggested riding a bike as part of my rehab!
the only reason I got in to sup was because I couldn't shortboard but was able to paddleboard in a moonboot!

Havent looked back now!

For windy days cannot beat a bit of length. Love my 10er

torn it playing rugby no surgery, 24mm x 3mm tear so not totally snapped but close enough that rehab probably would have be easier if i totally tore it and had surgery :)
Rehabs now complete its been 6mths although was interrupted screwed my back pretty bad in the gym.
I was doin my Achilles rehab thought id do my usual gym session and bang the back was ****ed :)thought id popped a disc in my lower back but just small tear !!
I agree the SUP is great rehab for my calfs and Achilles just lost some stability being out for so long and the dodgy back is still a bit tender so doesnt help took the Nalu out today and pulled up alright just have to stay off the smaller creek until its sorted.

Great Video Hilly hey do you have spitfire 8'8 or have you been on the hipster twinfin ?
Ive heard they are more stable then say my 8'10 creek in these sort of summer slop

:) Happy New year cbigsup yes i havnt forgot the Smik short Mac mate ended up buying a hipster 8'10 and the shortMac will be the next purchase hahaha probably sell the 10.6 Nalu to get it hahaha
