I am 200lbs. and am a novice long boarder who has been on a SUP in small to medium surf a few times. I have been on a Laird Soft Top, another 11'6 rental and I am looking to buy my first board. I want something I can surf in small to medium waves and paddle around on when the surf in flat. I am looking hard at the NSP 11' or the PSH 11' All Arounder. I am looking for something economical, but am not sure what else I should be looking at. I am unsure of brands and what size I should be looking for. Any suggestions?

You have tried a couple of boards so do you have a local shop?
If so why not drop in and ask them?
I really don't have a local shop. I have rented them on two different vacation trips. I have a shop I am going to check out this week though.
