I've been riding a Jimmy Lewis "Stun Gun" for the last 2 1/2 years and love this board and haven't seen anything that looks like it would be as good, but when I saw the Super Tech released I just had to have one.
you can see a lot of the Stun a Gun in these boards, the same rail profile that makes the Stun Gun surf so well, the rocker is very similar and the shape of the front 3/4 has a lot of Stun Gun, but more refinded and has some concave that runs through the board that the stun guns don't have.
they come with a good set of fins as standard like all JL boards as well as the light, but bullet proof construction, you can even get these in carbon for a few extra dollars.
will let you know how it goes when I get a chance for some water time.
and what about that artwork

Nice one RR

It's a step in the right direction .. but is it enough
to get the competitive edge that you obviously
want and need ?

Now that you've shown your hand I can release
my plans for the up-and-coming comp season.

At 1:00 pm I go under the knife to get a pacemaker.
One that has been pre-chipped with the latest
hi-tec sup wave and bop performance programs.

As a consecquence I will not be upgrading my quiver.

No need to now.

I'll just stick to my 9.5 JL Striker.

Our local SUP merchant Damien at Jay Sails Wind Kite SUP has put the service back into customer service here, hard to get a bag to fit these smaller boards, managed to get one the right length and width, but with a big fat nose to flap in the breeze, so he gets the sewing machine out and we now have a perfect fit, looks just like a bought one, with skills like that maybe he can knock up a new frock for the misses

Still waiting to get into some good waves, but thought I would let you in on the feedback I sent to Jimmy

Hi Jimmy

Thought I would let you know how I'm going with the board.
As you can see I went the deck grip, didn't know whether to or not, but came across a bargain so decided to go for it, I often go for a 3 hour session so that little bit of rubber is nice on the feet.
First impressions it looks like there is a lot of stungun in this board, but when you get it in the surf I was really surprised how much better it is in the smaller stuff, I've always had a bit of trouble getting to stungun to fire in waves under chest hight and was really surprised how well this board goes in it, the surf hasn't been great since I've had it, as always when you get a new board, but the few sessions when I got a few bigger waves it handles the juice just as well as the stungun, if not better, just need to have a few sessions in bigger stuff to get it wired.
It certainly doesn't have the stability of the stungun, but that is the trade off you have to make if you want a board that will surf better and it is the best paddler of a board that size I've been on by a long way.
Overall I'm loving it and so stoked I went for one and can't wait to get into some better waves on it.

Cheers

Dave
