My partner and her daughter are both about 5’2” and have been paddling my Nalu 11’6” around the lake and loving it ……. However when the wind gets up they struggle. Can anybody recommend a suitable board for them?
Length, width etc etc?
Cheers.

lightweight people are always going to struggle when the wind comes up. But maybe try something like a starboard 10'5 or the naish glide 12 goes really well into the wind

The Naish12' Glide and 12'6" Starboard SurfRace come to mind as a couple of good ones.. Also maybe the Naish 11'4" Nalu and 11'2" Starboard.

What sort of distances do they want to do on flatwater ? If its a fun allround board they want that is light, paddles great and surfs really well if they ever decide to go that way then its hard to go past a starboard 9.8 element. They are one of the most popular ladies boards on the gold coast and tick all the boxes. (and you will love it as well)

Have a look at the Fanatic Flyrace reviews. I think this could be a good everybody board for a lake. My daughter paddled it recently on flat and loved it.

My 2 cents
