Has anyone had any experience with the ECS 'Inception' model?

At 9'11" x 34" x 4 7/8" it looks like it has a LOT of Naish Odysseus genes in it - just wondering if anyone has ridden one?
I may have made a very hasty last minute Ebay purchase last night........wondering what it will be like when it turns up!

Due to the overwhelming response, I though I had better get some shots of it up ASAP!

It looks good. It has a nice flat rocker, is stupidly wide, and the rails actually have less volume in them than I was expecting. Should be a good thing for me to learn the ropes on and the family to have a play on.

Construction wise it looks pretty good. It was being sold as a factory second, and has two tiny little marks in the graphics under the glass, and one little sand through. I cant believe how cheap it was sold for - I bought a paddle today and it almost cost more than the board!!!

Looking forward for a little splish splash tomorrow. The forecast here is for 0 deg in the morning......better dig out those booties......

Hope you like it, the inception model is only a new one, the concept is "one size fits all" like a family board, anyone can use it, surf it in small waves, take the. Kids on the front, plonk the dog on there too. Perfect for yoga can't go wrong. I'm yet to test ride one. You'll be happy with your purchase trust me.

Yep, your despcription pretty much sums up exactly what I bought it for.
I'm loving it - I have only had it out for a flatwater paddle so far, but it is very stable and paddles well - very happy!

Damo, just wondering if you've got any updates on how the Inception is going? Still happy with it? Any issues at all? I can't find much info about them anywhere else on the 'net...

Roscoe – it is still going really well. Pretty much as described above, its has proved to be a bit of a jack of all trades, and has been equally at home on the flat with the kids and wife, or in small waves. Construction wise it has been tough, really no marks on it even after a few months of learning to surf it (many, many knees, elbows & heads banging against it!).

As a newbie in the surf the best thing has been the stability. At 34 inches it takes a LOT of chop to affect it, and has really allowed me to concentrate on things like positioning without worrying too much about stability. In saying that, I am very close to selling it, as I would now like to move to something a little more shortboard'ish (possibly a Mana/Allwave/Wideboy etc).

Awesome, Damo. Great to hear! Have been investigating going straight onto a 10' Mana myself, but ECS do such a good deal on these I think I may get one as a family board as well. Thanks for the update - very much appreciated!
