Hi
I'd like to know some experiences about these two boards, specifically about their taking off capabilities in soft waves as a SUP with only 7'8" length, and their windsup sailing capabilities.
Which is the real weight with so many things included? footstraps inserts, mast rail, handle, fins slots, doble usbox tracks for foiling...
Thanks.
Any one tried these boards, I was thinking of getting a smaller surf sup than my Jimmy Lewis striker i'11 and also be able to windfoil on it. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi, not sure of your weight or surf choice.
I suggest, depending upon budget, keep the Striker and buy a dedicated windfoil board.
Or add a an 8 5 JL Striker to your quiver with a dedicated wingfoil board.
I have had a go on the Fanatic Bee has a bit if tail rocker but the mast placement is forward of this area where the rocker is flat.
This means the Bee Foils nice and parallel to the water and the tail rocker does not cause any drag when your pumping or taking off.
If you have the mast is too far back on a normal rocker board,,,it aims the foil down into the water making it harder to take off,,,and the board rides like its doing a wheelie if you get it up and foiling.
Its really balanced when wind-foiling, I have also used this board for wing foiling, it allows you try multiple foiling sports with one board!
I got the 7'8 Smik mongrel a few months ago and have been pretty disappointed. I'm a surf supper and wanted to give foiling a go. I loved the idea of a versatile board that I could surf, foil and eventually get a wing for wing foiling. I've found that the shorter board size (to allow it to foil) massively impacts its surfability. No paddle power and I'm having to take off in a similar location on the wave to short boards. trade off simply isn't worth it. also the paint is coming off the board after only a few months of use.... I've never had that with any other board I own ! My advice, if you want a quality board primarily for surf supping, don't go Smik, don't go hybrid
