I've a Naish Hokua x32 7'10" and a Naish Raptor 95 (7' x 28"). Both quads.

The Raptor is great for small, mushy fat waves but I'm thinking of replacing the x32 with something a bit quicker off the mark & down the line for the better quality stuff. Because of it's outline (narrow nose and tail but 32" wide at the centre) the x32 doesn't have much glide or acceleration.

Ideally the new plank would be sub 8' and 110-ish litres.

i'm 5'10" 77kg, intermediate skills. Riding mostly sunny coast beach breaks, which is the reason for the shorter board preference (mostly steep shorter period waves that don't run down the line for very long, so have to crack out the turns quickly rather than drawing them out).

Any recommendations welcome.

I think that what would complement best your "tomo" raptor would be a classic "performance" shape, that is the ones used in contests, or what is referred to as a "step up" for a prone shortboard. But for steep short waves, as short as possible, and not too narrow for survavibility in beach breaks.

The narrow nose is what will allow you to whip turns in the pocket without fear of catching a rail, while still having some glide and paddling speed due to the extra length. The tail width will depend on the relative power of your back leg vs the wave power: you want the tail narrow enough so you dig the rail deep when pushing on it , but wide enough so that you do not kill all your speed. I love round tails for these kind of boards, as it allows you to tighten the curves at will.

You will find these kind of boards in all brands: In the Gong line that would be the Alley, in Infinity the Blurr, the new Genration boards, the various pointy nosed Sunova, In Fanatic the Pro, In starboard the Pro... you get the idea. Nowadays most brands have they "performance" shapes tuned to reasonable width so as no to be too extreme to ride, and are a valid choice. I would just try to get the ones with the shorter length for their volume, as it will be more adapted to your conditions.

I Use to ride X32 's ...got a sunova flow ..a lot faster ...and still shreds ..8.1 might fit your bill ..they are narrower ..

if I can snap around an 8'11 at 71 YO and 105 kg... think what you can do on a 7'11!

I'm sitting on about 95kg so you should be able to go way smaller. I'm looking at a second hand 7'10 which should be good for beach breaks and I'm confident it'll be stable after Awhile.

They are such fun boards with plenty of speed.
