Has anyone got one of these and what are like

any comments on Blue Planet boards in general, build quality etc. as they seem cheap compared to what else is out there.

A mate rides one and says it really works well. Cost may be more to do with all the sponsored athletes the main brands have.

I've had a Noosa for 6 mths. So far I've had no problems with build quality or construction. It's tough and light, so really happy with it.

Regarding how it performs, it is my second SUP and only been SUPing 9 mths, but I love it. It's really fast and even though I'm not a pro noserider, I've got up front a few times. It actually speeds up when you get on the front half of the board. I've had it in waves up to head height and it handled them fine.

BTW I'm 86 kg and 6'.

Blue Planet boards are very well made, I've surfed one of the 10' boards which was great and have the 14' Bump Rider which is a great downwinder board. They have the most comfortable deck pads of any boards I've owned, also the handles work really well, with the added benefit of locking easily to your car. Pricing is good too. Good luck.

Had a demo for a while and had heaps of fun with it. Was responsive and got on the waves very easily. Not sure where youre located but the rep is back up here soon if youd like to take one out for a play.

Well built and designed boards at reasonable prices, I've got 3 of their carbon boards, 14' Bump Rider, 14' Dark horse and 11' Wave Guru all boards have been used extensively over the past 12 months with no manufacturing issues what-so ever. I'm looking at the Noosa now as a nose rider and would probably go for the Hawaiian Performer hybrid construction (very light and extra durable) as i don't think the minister will sign off on anything over $1500

Took the Noosa out for a demo at Alex Headland today and pretty impressed. Had tried the JP Allrounder and the Naish Nalu but this board is better.

just a little concerned about MADE in CHINA

any thoughts from people who have Blue Planet Boards and not just knockers of Chinese manufactured products

I think you might find the Nalu is also made in China as the 10 LE has small sticker "made in China"

I have the 14' BumpRider, made in China. Great quality and well made.

This is the factory where the Blue Plaet boards are made. NB I pay for my boards and not sponsored - I wish.

Not hiding that the factory is in china is most of the time the sign of a quality brand, that take care and pride of their construction.

On the opposite, I even saw brands blurring the faces of workers on the pics on their site, so that you do not see they are asians... Don't buy from them!
