Ok, In noosa i never realy got a good go on these, well the mitchel anyway as the surf was bad and full of chop.
Since i have been back i have been on the mctavish 9'0 Its a great ride at 90kg i think i am realy on the limit as my feet are wet most of the time but then we are in booties and gloves etc.
Things i dont like about the mctavish, The nose tends to dive when on the paddle and it also pearls now and then, So what i would like is a board out of the two above if it suits, I would like a little more nose rocker, More stabilty but not a big deal as im use to the mctavish now but more stability would make life on the body just a little better.
So more litres and more rocker, Also a little more stability
This is VS the 9'0 mctavish
I realise both the boards above may not be a good choice giving my requests but thought i would put it out there as the naish 9'0 is not suitable
So That is the following
Jamie mitchel 9'8
Jimmy lewis 9'9
LSD 8'6 fish
VS my current mctavish 9'0
Thanks
BP
Did you like the rocker on your 9'5 Mana?
My 9'0 Mana has the same magic rocker. It never sticks the nose and the big tail rocker makes it turn super quick.
As everyone knows I love the JL Mano at 108kg I ride the 9 9 in everything.
Try the 9 4 as well it is 28 wide.
They have really good nose rocker![]()

Not sure if you have already answered this previously but = why did you sell the 9.5 mana
Not having a dig, just want to know so I can better advise you re your board choices.
From what you have been saying about boards/dimensions/nz availability/needs/wants etc I honestly reckon the new 9.0 Mana is gunna be the best board for you - hands down, no question. You would love some of the newer starboards but apparently cant access them in NZ so stick with the mct until the new manas arrive and then step up and make the change to the mana.
