Trying to decide what board to change to (still) I have my Fanatic Allwave 9'6" up for sale, it was good to learn on this board but it's pretty big for my 78 ish kg frame and a bit of a ship.
So both these boards are 30 wide , I feel this is a good width to go down to from the 32 Allwave. I surf in Perth so waves fairly average. My ability is also fairly average
Any suggestions on other boards would be appreciated.

Hi, I have the 8' 10" JP surf(Pro). I upgraded from the 9' 2"JP Surf (wood sandwich) which was my first SUP.

I love this board. I am 74kg on a good day and the flotation is fine for me. The JP comes alive on the wave and I feel it has so much potential to throw around but my ability is still limited in this department. It holds well for late takeoffs and I can almost realise the ol' lip smack. It is affected by wind and chop but this is inevitable for a high performance board. I haven't ridden the Pocket Rocket so can't compare but I'm well pleased with what I've got. I've ridden it from 1' to 6' and feel it has the potential to perform really well.

Check out my review on the JP surf wide body 8 8. Its a super board! Have had it a year now and still learning enjoying the ride each and every session in all sorts of conditions!

Demo is the best thing. Try it and see what works for you.

Thanks guys, I wonder if the Surf is faster than the wide body ? I like the look of the WB but I am happy to ride a 30" board , I trailed a 92.25 MR C4 that was 9'2 and didn't mind it but want go shorter in the hope it would be manoeuvrable on smaller waves ?
I like the look of the pocket rocket with the wider nose and narrower tail ? The demos I have enquirer about these haven't been to forth coming. , but I could probably push a little harder
