Just the 14 x 28" as far as I know. its shape has not changed from this years shape so it has the raised rails.
All the rest are the new shape.
Really liked the new shapes I've tried so far. :)
Nice - I like it. The flat deck on the 2015s should be easier to step around on. Also like the full deck pad. The board should feel better when stepping back on it. Impressive that they were able to eliminate the sunken cockpit and little side walls of the 2014 All Star yet increase stability at the same time.
The 12'6" x24 looked pretty stable for TrevT. I wonder how stable the new All Star 14x23 will be? Heard Connor used the 14x23 in the sprint race at Lost Mills.
There seem to be some inconsistencies in the stability ratings for the 2015 boards from Starboard in its draft catalog (
issuu.com:443/supsurfru/docs/aw_sup-catalogue-2015-rev2 ) . For example:
- All Star 14x25: Stability rating of 5, Minimum paddler weight of 85kg
- Race 14x25: Stability rating of rated 5+, Min. paddler weight of 80kg (if this board was more stable than the All Star 14x25, then why is its Min. paddler weight lower? I've heard from users that the Race 14x25 is less stable than the All Star 14x25)
- All Star 14x23: Stability rating of 3, Min. paddler weight of 80kg
- All Star 12'6"x24: Stability rating of 4, Min. paddler weight of 75kg (if this board is more stable than the All Star 14x23, then why is its Min. paddler weight lower?)
Anyone have any idea how stable the All Star 14x23 might be? Trevor - any thoughts?
