Hello,
I was looking for some advice for a new board.
The board is for my wife (1m71 for 60kg) and I (1m85 for 78kg). We both have an intermediate level.
We're looking for a light manoeuvrable board for fitness/touring and the occasional race and maybe even downwind.
Th board will be used on lakes (2/3) and the ocean (1/3). It can get pretty choppy on the lakes. It is a favoured windsurfing spot so it can get pretty windy.
We've narrowed it down to two boards: 2014 Naish Javelin GX 12'6" (28.2') vs 2014 Fone Race 12'6 (Bamboo deck and Carbon rails (29')).
Which of the two is the more stable and forgiving? Which of the two is more physical?
Any advice is welcome? Has anybody paddled on both boards?
One more thing my wife loves the graphics of the Naish Alana vario 7.0 paddle. Any views on this product?
Thanks for your help,
Stephan77
I've paddled both and the Jav gets my vote.. and not just because it's a Naish..
.. and the 7'' Alana paddle is a great paddle.
Thx DJ pretty much the answer I was expecting and hopping for.![]()
From the videos of the two I have seen posted the Naish seems more stable despite it being a bit narrower. Can you confirm?
Cheers,
Stephan.

I think the 12'6'' Jav is more stable but not by much.. It's an awesome do-it-all flat water/DW/BOP board.
Thx for the insight. All is on order. Will give some feed-back when I've testes the new board![]()
Cheers,
