For: Beginner, bay paddling, maybe smaller waves later on.
170cm, 60kg
Thanks.
It will do the job that you are asking of it. Questions i would be asking are.
How heavy is it? At that price it should be about 9-12kg max, any more than 12kg forget it!! unless it come down to $599-$700 mark.
How deep is the handle? Shallow handles SUX for that price it should have a new Ledge handle or be nice and deep.
Make sure it has some type of vent.
There are plenty of boards at that price point out there it's just hard trying to find out what ones are worth $599 and what ones are worth $899
We sell boards from super cheap right through to the best there is and yes there is a difference, it just sometimes hard to tell from the outside!
Hope this helps Angie
The more I look, the more I realise I have no idea!
Would it be fair to say it's safe with bigger brands?
Any thoughts on quality for BIC (Ace Tech 10"6'), NSP/ NSP Elements, "71" (popular at local sup/ kayak place), Hobie (also popular with local SUP lessons)?
One local place has Starboards for demo, but higher price range- start around $1400.
"Try before you buy" great - in theory- but I'm having trouble finding demos within an hour of my place (2.5 hrs south of Sydney).
Thanks for tips, great forum!
One thing about the big brand names is that they retain some sort of resale value. Check out the Buy & Sell section here on Seabreeze to see what I mean.
