i have been suping for three years now the last two on a PSH Ripper but of late
wanted to get back to longboard style surfing. In the last six months i have demoed
plenty of this style board and finaly settled on the Nalu 10'6.5.
Looking at the board on the rack under my mals its plain to see Naish have nailed it.
Its just a straight out longboard shape with just the right amount of rocker, nose thickness and tail lift. the board is super light for its size
In the water the board is very manouverable and can paddle on to any wave with ease big or small or take late drops. The board is supprisingly quick and chuckable and great for banging off the lip on my backhand it surfs like a
modern progressive longboard but the best of both worlds because it has much more volume than a mal so nose rides with ease (nose riding for dummies). With the
standard fins you can have fun tailsliding it and with a large hatchet fin you could
camp on the nose all day.
Went for a 6km run on flat water, the Nalu did the kms with ease paddling quick and straight
IMO this is the best fun board and allrounder and a one board quiver if you are a longboarder
Do your self a favour and demo one i luv mine

great,
I'm the same height and weight and was looking to get the mana or Nalu.
Did you try both?
Cheers
Matt

Yeah started suping on a 10' mana but grew out of it quickly.
The mana is little bit more stable but has too much rocker and volume in the nose
which makes push a bit of water and harder to catch waves.
on flat water the Nalu is a lot quicker and tracks straighter being narrower and more
parrallel shape.
In the surf the Nalu will pick up any wave,a great fun board, the mana good for giving
beginers confidence in the waves

Hey Matt, I've tried em both and IMHO the Nalu is a much better board for surfing and paddling around. (he's right (above) about the rocker in the Mana.) There's another thread running at the moment where a few blokes are commenting on the Nalu 10'6.5 (GS vs GT models) - worth a read. Anyway, the 10'6.5 is a great board whichever version. cheers, Dave
