Hey skebstebamal'

I've been riding the Hokua 7.6 for a couple of months now and I pretty much agree with supits assesment of the board. I'm 85kg with about 4 years experience on SUPs. The board floats me without a problem and is very stable for it's length. It may be doable at your weight but you would be at the extreme end of it's flotation capability I would think. The main thing to note about this board that wasn't mentioned in the review is it's dog to paddle. For me it's 2 strokes per side max before I have to change, both when paddling out and when paddling for a wave. For this reason you'll get the sh!ts if you have to paddle any distance. Also you need peaky waves where you can just kick turn, take one paddle stroke and your on the wave. Anymore than that and your sideways. Other than that, the board does surf really well. You need to surf it shortboard style off the back foot and it excels in clean, fast, peaky waves up tp double overhead (haven't had it in anything bigger). For reference my normal go to board is the Gerry Lopez Sweetie Pie 8.10 (Surftech) and I still use it most of the time. I can't reccomend the Sweetie Pie highly enough. For me It's almost a one board quiver. When I feel like a bit more of a challenge or just a change, that's when the 7.6 comes out. I just need a 10 footer now and the quiver will be complete.
