Hi SUPpers. I have been supping for just over a year. My reliable 10ft C4 waterman Pohaku helped me to win the SA State titles this year. To "reward" myself I bought a C4 Waterman Raimana World. Light to carry, with paddle straps so I can carry it on my head. Thanks to Richard , Simon , and Dylan for helping me out. I cant wait to get some surf down here, so I can let this baby loose!
Hey thanks Paddlepop! It is an awesom looking board!! Planes well in the flat water, nice and responsive. I just have to get it out into the surf! I think I have cursed the Mid!
Hey Purplebeanie,
Interested to hear how the Raimana is going
Thinking about getting one myself.
Cheers

Good choice. I shipped in that C4 Waterman Raimana World 9'8" over a year ago. It's one of the 4 SUP boards in my racks and the all time "go to" SUP board when SUP is the go. Whether its 2 foot or cranking, it surfs in a versatile fashion like nothing else I've tried. Even the SA Mid Coast can provide the perfect canvas for this board. Both it and I prefer more distant and isolated shores though! What fin setup are you riding?
Hey Skeg,
How would you rate ist stability?
Thanks Zeusman, the stability is good.
I love the sunken deck for lower centre of gravity. That is despite preferring rolled deck surfboards which are of course a lot less bulky.
Remember that the Raimana has significant rocker which is great for decent surf. The rocker allows for bite and response. You just have to find and stand in the sweet spot!
Yeah I thought the sunken, concave deck would improve stability. Just wondering how well it copes in windy & or choppy conditions? Also, does the rocker reduce its glide? I paddled the 9'6 sub vector recently & it was quite slow through the water. The rocker made te board push water quite a bit.
It doesn't cruise brilliantly but that doesn't fuss me. It's as stable as I need for most days I'd SUP surf. I'd be mid 80 kgs in a wettie and it suits me.
Howdy. Well I have had a couple of surfs on the ramaina World, but nothing of any size. The Ramaina is very stable in the water , good for a paddle on the glassy days and on the more choppy days. I have chosen a tri-fin set up untill I get the bigger days where I can give the quad fin set-up a go. At 8.5kg It is an easy board to walk to the coast, but I can't wait for some sup wheels!

There was a wave this morning. I managed 2hrs of surfing the Ramaina World in knee to sholder high waves. It handled well, picking up the wave no problem, nice speed across the face! happy with this board for sure!..:)
Cool.... Picked mine up this morning. Same colour as yours. Can't wait to get out on it. Big thanx to Dylan for all his help. He & the C4 crew were amazingly helpful. Fantastic customer service!!!
Ok.... I've surfed the Raimana a handful of times now in shoulder to overhead in varying conditions. The first couple of surfs I struggled with stability in the lineup. That has slowly improved now. Still tea bagging but not as often. Great at paddling in to waves, loves a late drop, bottom turns very nicely, top turns great, cutbacks are not a problem & boy is it fast down the line!!! Riding it as a thruster. Started off with the quad setup but didn't like it. Seems more controllable for me with the thruster setup. Using fives on the side fins & a Lopez 5.5 center. When you get your back foot on the tail pad the board is very manoverable & predictable. I'm enjoying it a great deal.
Yew!
Great to hear Zeusman. That is exactly how I have found it. Loves the late take offs, great bottom turns with the thruster set up. I have had no problem with stability, and paddling into the waves are a breeze! can't wait for the nationals!
Had another surf on the Ramaina this morning. Hip to shoulder high, glassy full tide. Ramaina World surfs the small stuff as well as the big stuff! No problems paddling into the soft wave, and the ramaina picks up speed along the fast , little, inside sections. Super responsive as a thruster, with a nose made for those late drops!
