for those with NP foils, or any modular foil that comes with a T-grip tool. I bought this T40 screwdriver and it is so much faster. T-grip tool still good for final torquing, but screwdriver is way faster for coarse assembly.

Put that tip in your impact driver and it'll feel like nascar on those quick changes

I've got the same one! But it's black and white. Stainless steel.

I only use the T-handle for removal as the screws can be quite stuck if done up with the T-handle. Using Tefgel as well

I've got a ratchet style stubby screwdriver which is pretty useful for this sort of stuff, can interchange torx head, hex head, phillips etc. Good for foil & fin keys.
Lately I've just been taking the drill with me, much quicker.

Been doing it from day one. Was using interchangeable magnetic socket head cheapy screw driver & found a torx screw bit to fit in the end.
Also I use the T handle to tighten the screws with one hand only.
The mast I tighten hard due to its longer threads. Then the wing with less force & then the tail wing with the least force that would be equivalent to using just a screw driver.
When dismantling I use the T handle with the longest lever to loosen all bolts before using the screw driver again to remove them.
Never had a problem yet.

Yes you're right Colas. I rinse my foil down well with freshwater before any tools touch it.
Then the tools are dried either with a cloth or just sitting in sun as I pack my gear away.
I do coat them in white lithium grease spray every time I lubricate the bolts. About once every fortnight to a month. Then wiped over with a cloth.
And yes they are showing signs of surface corrosion but will last a long time yet.

Only an idiot would let that happen....

Does anyone use a bike torque wrench, like ones 2-8nm. All bolts have a breaking point. I don't use one but know someone who does and he said he was way overtightening the bolts. I have broken the small M6 bolt for the front wing on my slingshot foil. I think part of it might have been poor bolt quality aswell.

My biggest fear is over tightening the plate slider bolts in the box, I couldn't think of anything worse then a crack I couldn't see in one of the boxes except losing my foil altogether then I would seriously have to ring lifeline

I use a stainless drill bit.
