hey folks been foiling a bit now and my converted board is starting to hold me back a bit.... has any one used the Sunnova foil sups... specifically the 6'3, im 90 kg and normally paddle a 115L sup ( can paddle a 95litre 7'6" but conditions need to be glassy) Have an option to get one but none available to demo and no reviews that I can find anywhere else.

Any other recommendations in the sub 6'6 catagory... Like the looks of the kalama boards also but would have to freight it in from hawaii!!!!

cheers

I'm in the process of writing one, but in the meantime here's one on the Sunova 2in1 Foil SUP which may interest you:

Scotty at SMIK makes a very good one. Custom so whatever you want. Foiled with a guy on a 6 3 today who went very well. Still waiting for my 6 8

The new Naish Hover 2020 carbon sandwich dedicated foil SUP's look good. I am tempted by the 6'0. Very Kalama like. A reasonable price too.

A lot of companies are rolling out their 2020 lines right now, so if you can wait a month you might not be kicking yourself later.
I know Blue Planet is rolling out their new generation of foil boards that pack a lot more volume for the size. 6'2 x 28.5 x 5.8 x 142L If you wanted a close match the size of the sunova. 5'8 x 27.5 x 5.3 x 114L if you wanted a close match to the volume. As it stands now, that's probably where my money is going for my next foil board, but frankly I'm waiting a few months before I buy anything right now.

I've been riding this board for about 3 months. Very well balanced, light, comfortable under foot and catches waves with ease. A well designed quality product from Sunova. Only request was the addition of a tuttle box.
