I got to try the new 2021 Naish 6'6" 140L Carbon Ultra SUP today. The board is 33 inches wide and weighs around 8kg.
I primarily viewed it as a SUP foil board but decided to have a wing on it. (I typically ride either a 110L CU or 125L Naish Hover for winging).
The board is light compared to my 125L and roughly the same length.
Very easy to do a knee start or simply standup and get going. The board planes reasonably well and releases from the water really really well.
Pumping up onto this board was great.
Happy to recommend it to the more voluptuous wingers
Do you know the weight of your 125 litre naish as I am trying to dry one out and don't know weight it should be. Currently around 9 kg +
I have the new 125 x 6 4 Naish and it weight is 7.6kg.
It rides and feels like my old 110 x 6ft Naish but releases from the water way better than the 110.
Handle in the bottom is a real bonus.
What do you think about the width of 33 inches? This is really wide for any board but especially for a foil board.
Do you think the width is a hinderance to performance in anyway? Also it looks like the width goes right through to the tail whereas a lot of others are going for a more pulled in tail, does the tail catch in turns etc.
Hi just wanted to bump this thread to get an update if possible? I'm 6ft solid build at 102 kegs and very proficient in SUP surfing and windsurfed for a few years, but want to get into SUP surf foiling and wing foiling. I am looking at the Naish 6'6" 140L or the 6'4" 125L with a 2000 foil wing and 6m wind wing. Covid has meant that going to demo a board has been impossible. Go a 140 for learning or 125 that may offer a bit more performance as the learning curve continues? Will be in small rollers to start with but would like to progress as a SUP & wing eventually to bigger waves. Any feedback or advice on these boards would be greatly appreciated! Cheers.
I'm your weight and have the 125 Hover..
A friend has the bigger 140 and for sup-foiling I'd much rather be on his 140.
Thanks Hilly and David. Good food for thought. Thanks for your time responding. I'm one of the lucky(ier) ones that live regional - Bass Coast.
