Anyone heard or seen if and what Duotone are up to for the second generation of foilwings??
One with boom and lighter one with strut. Built stronger.
I'll have one of the new Proto Boomless in about a week. Theory on this one is to be super light weight for down wind guys , to tow wing behind you at hip height when on long runs. They have removed the window to save weight and tamed the leading edge plus few other adjustments in the wing design itself . They also have a new light weight folding or collapsible boom as well. This is done just waiting on patent to be fully registered.
Sizes:- 3 , 4 , 5 & 6
Sorry got the sizes wrong :-
3 , 4 , 5 , 6 and also a 7m
A 7m (with boom or blowup strut?)
Re the strut it will come in 3, 4 , 5 & 6 only not the 7 . Re the Boom currently one boom Fits all sizes.Next range one boom up to 5m a second size boom covers 4m-7m oval shaped grip so you have better control. Not sure if the carbon boom will be one or two sizes , have to wait to see what comes out . So plenty of new gear from DT.
Would love to see DT's boom come with in a 'convert to paddle' option
That would be very interesting and handy
Hey Rob,
Are duotone bringing out an inflatable boom plus a solid boom.??
If so,do you know why?? and what are the advantages and disadvantages of either
thx
